The main attraction when you ski Snowmass is of course skiing and snowboarding, with the largest vertical located within the US. With plenty of cruisers, steeps, halfpipes, terrain parks, glades, there are lots of challenges spread throughout the 91 trails to make a visit well worth your while.

Snowboarders will also enjoy the three terrain parks that are accessible from Snowmass including Snowmass Park, Lowdown, and Makaha that together offer one superpipe that is 22 feet high and one beginner pipe for those who are just now learning to master the skill.

In terms of skiing, there are 21 lifts that include a few gondolas, a handful of quads, magic carpets, and two platter pulls. The lifts start at 8am in the morning and continue to run on through the evening so long as the weather is permitting. During the off season the lifts close at 3:30pm which still allots for plenty of time on the pistes.

Off the pistes there is still plenty to do on the slopes with plenty of gear shops, the local Snowmass Village Mall, plenty of alternative sporting activities and an adventure centre for children while adults are enjoying the slopes.

There are also plenty of restaurants and pubs scattered around the resort offering both American and international cuisine. Across the pistes there are also cafes that are great for warming up with a cup of coffee and snowcat dinner rides at night for those who want to add a little romance or fun to their holiday.
